NAPLES, FL – Capital Wealth Planning, LLC (CWP) founder and chief investment officer Kevin Simpson, is proud to announce John (Jack) W. Fisher joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer after serving on the firm’s board for 4 years.
“We continue to experience rapid growth as a firm, and are excited to have Jack and his expertise to assure our growth is met with the high standard of service that we have always delivered,” said Kevin Simpson.
Under Jack’s leadership with operations, sales and marketing, CWP will continue to add to its foundation as one of the top 50 fastest growing SEC registered investment advisors in the country.*
“I welcome the opportunity to deepen my relationship with CWP,” Fisher said. “The firm’s impressive
track record and team provide continued opportunities to enhance our collective value to clients and prospects.”
Jack’s impressive career in the securities industry began in 1977 as an investment broker and later vice president with E.F. Hutton. In 1987, he co-founded Wilson/Bennett Capital Management, where he spent 17 years. Jack managed the firm’s large-cap value strategy, which consistently ranked in the top 15% of the Large Cap Value Universe. As CEO and CIO of the company, Jack was quoted in most major financial publications and appeared on “Inside Money,” CNN Financial News, CNBC, and Bloomberg Financial.
In 2001, Jack joined the Board of Directors of Cardinal Financial to help engineer the company’s
turnaround. He was appointed to the Board’s Executive Committee, served as Vice Chairman of the
Audit Committee, and Chairman of Cardinal’s brokerage. Jack was the lead director for two public stock offerings designed to reinforce the firm’s balance sheet. The turnaround was successful, and by the time Jack left the company in 2006, Cardinal was the second-largest community bank in Virginia.
From 2008 through 2011, Jack was Executive Vice President and a board member of Titanium Asset
Management, a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange. During that time, he was
recruited to serve as CEO of two subsidiaries, Wood Asset Management in Sarasota, Florida, and
Sovereign Advisers in Charlotte, North Carolina. Combined assets under management of the two
subsidiaries totaled $1.9 billion. Titanium’s majority stockholder consolidated operations of all
subsidiaries in Chicago and Tel Aviv in 2010. Not willing to relocate, Jack left the firm but remained as a consultant for an additional year.
Jack received a B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech, and continued onward to work in various
capacities with Wilson/Bennett Co., the company he founded in 1987. The firm finances private equity transaction projects in Georgia, Virginia, and New Jersey.
When he isn’t sharing his wealth of financial knowledge, Jack enjoys his family, spending time on his boat, and he has his commercial pilot’s license.
